Free website on free webhosts

I was reading some articles yesterday and came across one which strongly suggests not to use a free web host. Why? Because the autor created a website on free webhost and the free webhost disappeared with his website content and according to him websites hosted on free web hosts are ignored by search engines.

Do you people totally agree with him? Atleast I am not.

We create websites for different reasons like for fun, business purposes etc. Now if you are just creating your first website for fun or personal purposes, you might not want to spend a lot of bucks each month for that.

So what we do? We generally choose a free webhost and after few months started complaining about it because while choosing the web host we haven't done enough research about the web hosts.

So before creating a website on a free webhost it is better to check history of that web host, like how long it is online, how much search engines value them and what facilities they offer to you. Now if this reseach is done properly I personally believe nothing wrong is going to happen unless you are too lucky.

IF buttons slow loading

I've been noticing that the button images that come with the IF forum are loading slowly. This means that people coming to our forums aren't able to post....No button, no link to post!

The solution that I found for this is to make new buttons and either upload them to the forum, or upload to photobucket.com and add the link to CP>>>images.

I usually use paint shop pro to make buttons....But my computer died last month. Using the library computer, I recently made buttons for my Garden Forum using the online button making service at: Button2life.com
I found it necessary to save the new buttons as jpegs....They wouldn't work as png.

Okay, as we get more time we will continue to update more often, and i have made a button for our site there it is :)

The First Step

Welcome to the webmaster forum blog. As the name suggests we are going to discuss some webmaster related stuffs here. But that's not all ....we are going to unfold lots of mysteries here.

Well, I created the webmaster forum last June and I was thinking to add a blog to our forum from then but due to some problem it was not possible. I also found a blog hack code in Invisionfree forum but it was really funny. Anyway tomorrow is holiday for me and then from day next it is going to be stressful because I am going back to job again.
