I was reading some articles yesterday and came across one which strongly suggests not to use a free web host. Why? Because the autor created a website on free webhost and the free webhost disappeared with his website content and according to him websites hosted on free web hosts are ignored by search engines.
Do you people totally agree with him? Atleast I am not.
We create websites for different reasons like for fun, business purposes etc. Now if you are just creating your first website for fun or personal purposes, you might not want to spend a lot of bucks each month for that.
So what we do? We generally choose a free webhost and after few months started complaining about it because while choosing the web host we haven't done enough research about the web hosts.
So before creating a website on a free webhost it is better to check history of that web host, like how long it is online, how much search engines value them and what facilities they offer to you. Now if this reseach is done properly I personally believe nothing wrong is going to happen unless you are too lucky.
